I know your thinking with a title like that htis MUST be juicy but.... no, not so much! I was actually up on and off again all night thanks to one 8 week old and one three year old to be named annonomys. But while I was up and down tending to there every need the thought occured to me; Amanda, you should write a blog about all of the tips and ideas you have about life in general. My husband thinks I should write a book bu frankly the thought of having to fill up an entire book is just to much for me right now! ALthough I'm sure I will have enough to fill several by the time I blog for a few months. So I reached for my trusty journal and wrote down this idea of mine: maybe i could help other moms or just give them somehting to read while they have themselves locked in the bathroom looking at the little fingers wiggling under the door! MAybe the advice that my friends ask me for so often might help other mommies out there struggling with the stupid questions in life that we all ask ourselves at one time or another. Like, how can I organize my pantry so that the kids( and husband) stop saying "there's nothing to eat in here" When you JUST went to the store! Or how can I nurse a baby, make dinner, entertain 2 kids and have a conversation with my husband at the same time? Ok maybe that last one is just me! So I hope my blog and my tips will bring you a little day brightner and maybe give you some advice that you didn't have before, like did you know that nail polish remover works great to remove permanant marker from furniture? Just be careful to use a very little at a time so you don't damage the furniture. I had to figure this one out one day when my three year old found a Sharpie in daddy's pants pocket in the hamper and colored me a BEAUTIFUL picture all of my kithen table! ANyways heres to my new found grasp on technology and heres to hoping for a good rest of the day!!
Tip #1 Keep a journal! Wether you do it online or in a book, a journal is an AWESOME place to keep all of those crazy mom-thoughts. I keep a journal right beside my bed so that when I am up all night with crying kiddos or when I just can't sleep I can write down any thoughts I might have. Because if you are anything like me, if you were awake all night you are NOT going to remember anything about your good "middle of the night" ideas come morning!
Tip #2 Nail polish remover works great to remove permanant marker from furniture. Just be careful to use a very little at a time so you don't damage the furniture. I can't gurantee it will get ALL of it off, BUT at least it will get rid of some of that beautiful artwork.
